Lynette Bowler

Lynette, former Specialist Occupational Therapist, developed an interest in Tai Chi whilst working with patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis, and implemented ‘Tai Chi for Arthritis’ into Self Management Programmes whilst working in the NHS.

Lynette has acquired many other skills alongside her O.T. career, including a Diploma in Stress Management & Relaxation Techniques and a Diploma in Holistic Therapies.

In 2011, Lynette teamed up with Doug, her husband, and launched their business ‘Tai Chi for Health in Cheshire’, starting with 3 classes.  With growing success, she resigned from her O.T. post in 2012 to pursue her interest and passion for Tai Chi & Qigong.

Since then, Lynette & Doug have undertaken training and updates to continually improve their skills and knowledge.

“ I feel so fortunate to have discovered Tai Chi & Qigong - it was a turning point in my life. It is wonderful to be able to practice these amazing exercises myself, and also to share them with other people”

Doug Bowler

Doug, following his lifelong passion for Yoga, achieved a full teaching Diploma in 1998.

For several years he successfully ran Classes at his Studio in Northwich  - ‘The Yoga & Therapy Centre’, and soon added the traditional Japanese treatment of ‘Zen Shiatsu Massage’ to his credentials.

From 2005, Doug expanded the Yoga to include other venues in Northwich.

Over the following years he discovered and developed an interest in Tai Chi & Qigong, and realising the benefits, successfully introduced these into his classes.

In 2011, he combined forces with Lynette, his wife, and set up a new business ‘Tai Chi for Health in Cheshire’.

“...I simply found life unfolded with me once I began to follow heart!”
